I am a former professional dancer who has performed with Beyoncé, for The Billboard Awards, and on international tour. 

Credentialed in Yoga Therapy Rx from Loyola Marymount University, Marja is a yoga therapist who teaches within the lineage of Krishnamacharya, Desikachar, and Dr. Larry Payne. Marja also holds certifications in Annie Carpenter’s SmartFlow Yoga, Power Yoga, Yin Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yoga Tune-Up, BreathWork, and Reiki. 

As a former professional dancer, Marja specializes in dancer therapeutics. In 2016, she founded Yoga for Dancers and has taught Y4D curriculum for Harvard Dance Center, University of Southern California Kaufman School of Dance, USC Trojan Dance Force, University of California Los Angeles, Chapman University, Loyola Chicago, Coachella, ESPN, the United States Tennis Association (USTA), Sweden’s Gothenburg Opera Dance Company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (summer intensive), and Complexions Contemporary Ballet (summer intensive).

In addition to wellness education, Marja is a Howard University English Ph.D. student and Just-Julian Scholar. She is also an alum of Harvard University, Los Angeles Valley College, and the University of Michigan.
