About Flow
Since Flow Yoga Center’s humble beginnings in 2004, we’ve had two primary goals: 1) create a warm and uplifting space for people to gather in community, support one another and explore the depths of a modern-day yoga practice, and 2) create an authentic home for the DC area’s most-beloved and experienced yoga teachers. About The Job
Flow’s Senior Facilities Manager is the lead care-giver for Flow’s physical home! S/he ensures that Flow’s facilities are warm/welcoming/beautiful, clean, well-organized, fully operational, secure and supportive of our community’s wellness goals. To support this, s/he will lead the charge and equip and inspire the rest of our staff family to collaborate in facilities care-giving, complete rudimentary maintenance work directly, and manage contractors for more complex projects. S/he will also manage vendors and contractors to support all Flow facilities management goals.
This is a part or full-time, at-will, FLSA-exempt management position.
Job Responsibilities
manage facilities maintenance & repairs - both pro-active upkeep and responsive repairs.
manage inventorying & ordering of all studio supplies
manage IT and AV equipment
manage studio cleaning including physical spaces, as well as all props (blankets/mats/towels, etc.)
manage studio plant care
collaborate with and support Flow’s COO on all facilities-related projects (upgrades, construction, equipment management, large repairs, etc.)
collaborate with Flow's Senior Management team on all major Flow initiatives (e.g. help to define, refine and implement fundamental studio policies, procedures, and strategies; renovate existing studio locations; expand to new locations, etc.)
manage Flow’s front desk on scheduled (and subbed) shifts. In this role, serve as the "person in charge" of studio operations to create the warm/welcoming smooth-sailing experience for all members of the Flow community (guests, teachers and staff), manage staff, and use independent judgment to interpret and implement all studio policies/procedures,

Job-holder Qualifications (required)
experience, aptitude and comfort with rudimentary plumbing, electric, carpentry, handy-person work, IT and AV (No expertise necessary; just a gung-ho DIY spirit, comfort managing the basics and wisdom to know when to call in the experts.) ;)
experience with contractor management
experience with supply management (inventorying, ordering, stocking/organizing)
savvy shopper - proven experience and ability to price-shop online, balance quality and cost, stay within a budget, etc.
at least 1 year of people and/or team management experience
at least 1 year of guest service experience
demonstrable leadership experience - with proven ability to anticipate and respond to needs proactively, work independently, and problem-solve constructively
excellent written & verbal communications skills
highly organized with a superb attention to detail
familiar with “Getting Things Done” task management or similar
uses an online task management system

Job Hours
15-20 regularly-scheduled hours/week (specific times/days TBD)
10 hrs/week managing Flow’s front desk
5-10 hrs/week for project work
flexibility to work mostly weekday mornings and occassional evenings and weekends
Salary & Benefits
salary - a competitive yoga studio manager salary commensurate with skills and experience
paid time off - accrued as follows…
20 PTO hours/qtr (80 hours/year) - for employees working up to 29 work hrs/week
30 PTO hours/qtr (120 hours/year) - for employees working 30-35 work hrs/week
40 PTO hours/qtr (160 hours/year) - for employees working 36-40 work hrs/week
Any hours not used in given quarter will be rolled over to the next quarter, and any hours not used in a given year will be rolled over to the next year.
