Wellness Holistic Health Therapies
Yoga Therapy Bodywork Wellness Coaching
Holistic health therapies including bodywork, nutrition, life-coaching and yoga therapy are healing modalities that takes into account the multi-dimensional nature (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) of human beings and strives to bring balance to the ‘whole’ person.
Holistic health is based on the premise that the body has an innate ability to heal itself. Given the right ingredients - appropriate nutrition, regular elimination of toxins, adequate rest and rejuvenation, intuned movement and mental/emotional balance – the body will heal, repair and recover into good health. A holistic approach to health addresses the underlying causes of health imbalances, clears toxic blockages and restores health through natural means. Holistic health therefore strives to promote health rather than confront discomfort and disease. It gives you the tools to renew, recharge and take control of your own health.

Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy encompasses a wide range of applications and is used to treat injuries and chronic conditions of the cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, nervous, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and reproductive, and endocrine systems. Yoga therapy addresses conditions on the physical, psychological and spiritual levels and assists in the recovery from and management of injuries and chronic conditions.
Many of our teachers are trained in the therapeutic application of yoga as a healing art to improve overall health and well being. Our therapists are available for both private and small group yoga therapy sessions. We also host a weekly drop in class on Sunday called Yoga Therapeutics.
Therapeutic Private Sessions (3 pack for $285 in studio)
Therapeutic private sessions are designed for students who have physical conditions that warrant special attention. They are a great way to work with a teacher on creating a home practice most appropriate for your body or to learn modifications of traditional poses so that you can safely participate in group classes. In order to honor the special dialogue between the teacher and a student with injuries or a special condition, we offer an initial 3 pack for new therapeutic students. The first session (75-90 minutes) will include an intake, a review of the student's goals and suggestions about how to begin or to modify an existing practice. The two subsequent sessions (6o minutes each) will be an opportunity to build on the first session by adding poses to create sequences or to work through additional modifications. Due to the nature of adapting yoga for people with special conditions, Flow does not offer single therapeutic yoga privates.

Zero Balancing®
Zero Balancing® is a bodywork system that blends together the western science of anatomy with the eastern concepts of energy movement to align our energy body with our physical structure. When these two aspects are out of balance, we feel mentally unclear, emotionally distressed, and are more susceptible to physical ailments. When structure and energy are in balance, we feel grounded, full of ease, and in harmony with ourselves and the world around us. ZB encourages the body to find its own balance, rather than force an outside template of what it should or shouldn't be. Because our energy bodies are constantly in flux, every session is unique. Many clients report a feeling of lightness with stability, or a feeling of expansion during and after a session. A typical session takes between 30 to 45 minutes, and is performed with the client fully clothed lying face up on a massage table. The practitioner evaluates, balances as needed, and then re-evaluates the client's energy fields and body structure. The pressure is gentle and should never be painful, although at times can reach the point where it "hurts good". You can receive Zero Balancing as often as you like, but it is recommended that you receive a minimum of three sessions to achieve results, as each session builds upon the last. 60 Minutes, $80
Acupuncture and Herbology (offered through Tulsi -10% discount for Flow referrals!) are part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This ancient system encourages the body to heal naturally. The goal of acupuncture is to re-balance one's vital energy by stimulating specific points--called acupoints--along the body's meridians, or energy channels. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or other stimulation at these precise acupoints. Acupuncture has been shown to be effective for acute and chronic health conditions. Women's Health & Pain Management specialists on staff.
