"Impermanence is the nature of the human condition"   - Buddha

As the air begins to cool and the light starts to shift, we are immediately reminded of of the truth of change.  The change of seasons is a wonderful time to turn inwards and to reflect on your personal journey.  The season of Fall offers us support and more grounding to connect with our journey and to explore how we relate to change.  So often it is change and uncertainty that scares us the most.  Buddhist and yoga teachings aspire to set us free from this limited way of relating to change.  "The teachings encourage us to relax gradually and wholeheartedly into the ordinary and obvious truth of change.  Acknowledging this truth doesn't mean we look on the dark side.  It means that we begin to understand the reality of life, and find acceptance in the ebb and flow". Pema Chodron   Join us this Fall at Flow as we explore the depths of what it means to live in a world of constant change and how a yoga and meditation practice can help us live with that fact more peacefully.

Impermanence Practice

1.  If you could change any one thing in your life, what would it be?

2.  What is preventing you from making that change?  How would your life be different if you made that change?

3.  If you could make anything "permanent" what is it?  What does it mean to you to let it go?

4.  What is it that you cherish above all else?

5.  What has changed in your life in the past year.  What challenges arose from change?  What were the positive effects?  What did you learn?  Did it open any new opportunities?
