Welcome to Flow!  Here is a list of the most commonly asked questions we receive.  We want to share them with you to familiarize you to our space and to make sure you have the best experience possible.    Feel free to call us directly anytime (202) 462-3569 or email us at care@flowyogacenter.com if you need additional assistance on choosing classes or workshops, making reservations, scheduling a private session or to help you in any way.

I'M NEW TO FLOW. HOW DO I REGISTER FOR CLASSES?
If it is your first time at Flow you can take advantage of our "Welcome to Flow" discount.   You may purchase this using our online reservation system or in person!  If you plan on doing it in person, please arrive at Flow at least 20 minutes prior to your desired class start time in order to check in at the front desk, purchase your pass, and to get your settled before class starts.  After your initial visit, we recommend purchasing your passes using our online reservation system!

YOU HAVE SO MANY CLASSES EACH WEEK.  CAN YOU HELP ME EXPLORE WHICH ONES WILL WORK BEST FOR ME?
We do have quite a few classes each week!  We would to love help you find ones that will serve you best.  Email us at care@flowyogacenter.com and we can set up a time in person or over the phone to help match you up with the perfect class!

DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR CLASS?
While it's not absolutely necessary, we highly encourage you to make a reservation before you come to class -- as many of our classes sell out (especially classes Mon-Fri after 5pm and many classes on the weekends).

Our online reservation system is the most convenient way to reserve.  It'll allow you to check out who's teaching, reserve your space in class, and let you spend more of your time relaxing before class.  Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class start time if you have an online reservation.  Beyond that, we begin to open spaces up on our waitlist.

Online waitlists!
If any class you want is booked online, no worries. Just add yourself to a waitlist right from the online sign up screen. If/when a spot in class opens up, you'll be reserved automatically, and get an email to let you know.

If you're on an online waitlist, when a spot in class becomes available, you'll be...

  1. notified by email, at the address used for your online account at Flow,
  2. emailed notification (sometimes) with as little as 30 minutes before class start time, and
  3. reserved automatically for the class, and charged for it.

Online vs. In-Studio Waitlists
If you join an online waitlist, at 30 minutes before class start time, if you haven't gotten the email confirmation above, please know that you won't be reserved for the class, and (unfortunately, because of system limitations) are no longer on a waitlist for the class. At that point, if/when additional spots in class open up, they're offered on a first-come-first-served basis to guests physically waiting at Flow. We invite you to come to Flow to join the in-studio waitlist or reserve for another class.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR CLASS?
We encourage you to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your scheduled class to give yourself unrushed time to check-in and get settled before class starts. We invite you to relax in our lounge and treat yourself to some complimentary tea. To make for less congested check-ins and smoother (on-time) starts to class, we’ll only hold reservations up to 5 minutes before class start time. To keep any reservations you make, please check-in at our front desk 5 minutes (or more!) before class start time. And, in order to maintain sacred space in class and reduce the likelihood of injury, we cannot always accept late arrivers after class has started, and won't allow entry 10+ minutes after a class begins. 

IF I'M LATE FOR CLASS, WILL YOU HOLD MY RESERVATION?
If there's a waitlist for a class, five minutes before class start time,  any reserved guests who haven't checked in at our front desk will "gift" their reservation to a guest on the waitlist. We'll do our best to get each "gift-giver" into another class, and thank you in advance for offering your spot graciously to a fellow yogi in wait.

HOW CAN I CANCEL A CLASS RESERVATION - WITHOUT BEING CHARGED?
Can’t make it to a class that you pre-reserved? No worries. Just cancel at least 2 hours before class start time, and the cancellation is free of charge. We have two convenient ways to cancel...

  • Cancel Online: The most convenient way for many, and the least taxing on our staff, is to cancel online. Just login to our online reservation system, click “My Schedule”, then click “Cancel” for any reserved classes you can’t make.

  • Cancel By Phone: If you’re in a pinch, running late, and can’t cancel online, you can cancel over the phone by calling (202) 462-3569. (If we don’t answer the phone, just leave a message with your name and the time of the class reservation you need to cancel. We'll take care of the rest.)

Less than 4 missed reservations per month please.
We know that "life happens". So, up to 3 times/month, don't worry if you forget to show up for a reservation, or can't cancel 2+ hours before class. If it happens 4+ times/month, though, we'll temporarily "freeze" your ability to pre-reserve for classes (for 2 weeks), and remove any current class reservations.

WHAT IS YOUR EVENT/WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY?
Workshop Cancellation Policy: 48 Hours before the event:  If you register for a workshop but are unable to attend please let us know at least 48 hours before the workshop is scheduled to begin. We will issue a credit to your Flow Yoga Center account (minus a $5 transaction fee) and this credit can be used toward any future Flow purchase.

If we receive your cancellation less than 48 before the event, we cannot issue a refund; however, if we are able to fill your space with someone from a waiting list we will give you a Flow account credit (minus the $5 transaction fee) toward any future Flow purchase.

I CAN'T ATTEND AN EVENT/WORKSHOP I RESERVED FOR.  CAN I GIVE MY RESERVATION TO A FRIEND?
Unfortunately, all purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.

HOW DO I PURCHASE CLASS PASSES AND/OR GIFT CERTIFICATES?
All Class Passes and Gift Certificates may be purchased in the studio or online. If you plan on purchasing a class pass in the studio before your scheduled class, please arrive at least 20 minutes before the class you want to take.

CAN I REACTIVATE AN EXPIRED PASS?
I purchased a class pass and passed the 3-month expiration date, but I still have remaining classes on my pass -- do I lose those classes?  No! ;) If your pass expires and you have classes remaining on the pass, we'll gladly "roll over" any unused and expired classes onto any new pass of 3 or more classes that you purchase.

DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTION?
Yes! To reserve a private session, simply call the studio and we'll coordinate it for you!  Pre-payment at time of booking is necessary to confirm your reservation.  Cancellations more than 24 hours prior to scheduled session will receive full Flow credit.   Cancellations within 24 hours of scheduled session will be charged in full.  

DOES FLOW EVER CANCEL EVENTS?
Flow Events and Workshops are occasionally canceled if there's insufficient interest, or if a teacher has an emergency.  If your event is canceled, you will be notified via email/phone and will receive a full refund.
