We look forward to getting to know you! :) Below are some tips and FAQs to get you started and get to know us. Happy perusing, and please reach out to us anytime if we can help you with anything at all!

  • The best place to get a feel for what makes Flow a special place is with our New To Flow - Intro Special membership which gives you your first month of unlimited classes for $60. No strings attached - just an incredible lineup of amazing classes, and a warm/uplifting community. :)

  • Whatever your mood, we have a class for you! To learn more, check out this great guide to our different class styles and levels! Also, be sure to take a look at our special events and workshops here!

  • For additional safety and simplicity, we ask that you please make a class reservation online before arriving for class. Thank you in advance. :) To make a reservation, please visit Flow's online schedule, click “My Account” to login, and then click “Book” for any classes you’d like to attend.

    If a class is sold out, you can add yourself to an online waitlist, which will automatically reserve you and notify you if a spot opens up.

  • We encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled class to give yourself some un-rushed time to check-in, relax, and connect with the Flow community.

    If you’re running late and have a reservation, no worries! We’ll hold your reservation until the end of class. Just come whenever you can and your spot in class will be waiting for you when you arrive. :) . If the door is locked, call the number listed on the door and our staff will let you in.

    And if you’re running late and don’t have a reservation, please reach out to happiness@flowyogacenter.com... If the class isn’t sold out, we’ll make you a reservation so you can still join class at any time.

  • If you can't keep a class reservation (we hope you can!) no worries.

    Reservations can be canceled free of charge 1+ hours before any class as this will offer enough time for other students to make use of the available class space. You can cancel your reservations online quickly & easily… Simply login to your online schedule and click “Cancel” for any reserved classes you can’t keep.

    Avoid a Cancellation Fee: Because we hold reservations until the end of class, if you don’t show up AND don’t cancel a reservation (aka “No-Show”) that spot will go unused. Accordingly, for No-Shows we charge the full price of a current drop-in pass. If you’re able to cancel a reservation at least one hour before class (aka “Late Cancel”), we can still try to offer that spot to a waitlisted student. The associated charge for a Late Cancel will be $15 less than the price of a current drop-in pass. (Courtesy Fee Waiver for Flow Members: We know that sometimes "life happens". If you have an unlimited monthly or yearly membership at Flow, these cancellation fees will be waived for your first two No-Shows or Late Cancels each calendar month.)

  • We offer a robust schedule of different classes at in-studio, outdoor, and livestream locations - but all under the same Flow roof. :)

    For your specific class location, click “View Details” for any class on our online class schedule.

    In-studio classes are typically held at either 1508 14th Street NW or 1450 P Street NW - one block from each other.

    Outdoor classes are typically held at House of the Temple 1733 16th St., NW - just a few minute’s walk from Flow’s studios.

  • You can join your favorite Flow teachers anytime anywhere via Zoom.com!

    Reservations can be made up to 10 minutes before class begins, and links will be emailed to you automatically just before class to the email address connected to your online Flow account.

    Check your email inbox (or spam and promotions folders if you don’t see it in your inbox) for your link to class. If you're trying to drop-in last minute, just email us at happiness@flowyogacenter.com and we’ll help get you into class.

    Can’t make it live? No worries. You’ll also get a post-class recording good for 48-hours after class - for more flexibility to enjoy the classes and teachers you love! Plus, Flow members you’ll always have access (via the Flow APP) to our full on demand video library to enjoy classes anytime you’d like.

  • In the event of inclement weather forecast for a scheduled outdoor class (namely a 25%+ chance of precipitation, “feels like” temps above 90 or below 60 degrees, or 18+ mph winds) we’ll cancel at least one hour before class & email you options to join the same class in-studio or online.

  • If you’d like to take more than one class per week, Flow’s memberships offer our lowest rates + lots of perks. Please visit our membership page for all of the insights & goodies!

  • You can pause or cancel your membership anytime! Visit the request page here, and email us if you have any further questions.

  • Your online Flow account gives you full control to make and cancel reservations, check schedules, add new passes, and create your ideal Flow experience.

  • We invite and encourage you to bring your own favorite yoga mat and towel - esp. for warm and hot classes, where sweat can create slippery conditions. But, we also have mat & towels available for all in-studio classes. :) They are included free-of-charge with your pass or membership, so you can just bring yourself and enjoy.

  • The health and wellbeing of the Flow community is always our #1 priority. We have taken a number of steps (guided by the CDC and WHO) to keep our spaces and people healthy. See more here.

  • Yoga is intended to encourage self-discovery, healing, connection, and empowerment, and should never feel stressful, harmful or competitive. Whether you’re practicing with us in person or at home, always let your teacher know if you have any special health conditions or injuries. The best way to do this is to email us before your class or arrive a few minutes early to chat with your teacher or our front desk team. We’re here to help! If you’re joining us virtually, please send us a chat in the Zoom.

    And most importantly, always honor your intuition and body, and never push yourself to a point of pain. Our Happiness Team is here to help you find the perfect teachers and classes for you. We’d love to help curate your dream schedule!

  • Warm & Hot Classes: Heated with our state-of-the-art infrared panels which have amazing benefits for your health & well-being!

    We elevate the temperatures in our "warm" and "hot" classes with eco-friendly infrared heating panels - to provide the perfect blend of heat, moisture and fresh clean air. Temps for our "warm" classes run from low to mid 80s, and for "hot" classes from upper 80s to low 90s - based on the season and teacher's discretion.

    These classes will be clearly marked as "warm" or "hot" on our schedule. For both of these classes, we strongly encourage you to bring a towel (or rent one from Flow) to enjoy a safer, slip-free experience.

  • Make sure you sign up for our newsletter. We send it out each week and there’s always special tips, freebies & class specials posted. Sign up below at the bottom of this page ;).

  • Yoga helps us take good care of ourselves and show up for our loved ones and community the best we can.

    We take this to heart and do all we can as a small (and mighty!) business to do our share.

    From making sure our teachers are classified as employees instead of contractors, to running an eco-friendly studio (hello Mayor’s Award for Environmental Excellence!), our mission (with your help!) lets us support free & discounted community classes, offer teacher training scholarships to teachers planning to lead classes in underserved communities and work directly with area non-profits to bring yoga and mindfulness programs to their communities.
