Before you Arrive at Flow...
Making Class Reservations
To secure a spot in your favorite classes, we encourage you to purchase a pass and make a class reservation ahead of time. Once you have an active pass, you can reserve online by clicking “Reserve Now” for any classes you’d like to attend.
If a class is sold out, no worries… You can add yourself to an online waitlist, which will reserve you automatically if/when a spot opens up. Or, if your schedule permits, please drop by the studio before class to take one of the drop-in spaces that we leave for almost every class. Drop-in spaces become available 30 minutes before class start time, and are offered to guests present at Flow on a first-come, first-served basis.
Arrival Time for Class
We encourage you to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your scheduled class to give yourself unrushed time to check-in and get settled before class starts. We invite you to relax in our lounge and sip some freshly brewed tea. In order to maintain sacred space in class and reduce the likelihood of injury, we cannot always accept late arrivers in class after class has started, and don’t allow entry 10 minutes after a class begins. If there is a waitlist for a class, at class start time, any reserved guests who haven't arrived "gift" their reservations to guests on a wait list.
Cancelling a Reservation
We know sometimes things happen and you may need to cancel a reservation. We have two convenient ways to cancel…
- Cancel Online: The most convenient way to cancel a reservation is to cancel online. Just login to Flow's web-scheduler, click “My Schedule”, then click “Cancel” for any reserved classes you can’t make.
- Cancel By Phone: If you’re in a pinch, running late, and can’t cancel online, you can cancel over the phone by calling 202.462.FLOW (3569). If we don't answer the phone, just leave a message with your name and the time of the class reservation you need to cancel. We'll take care of the rest.
To avoid being charged for a reservation that you can't keep, and to ensure that other Flow guests can make use of the unused spot in class, we ask that you please cancel any reservations that you can't keep at least 30 minutes before class start time.
At Flow...
We invite you to remove your shoes upon entering Flow to start your own process of unwinding and to provide a clean space for everyone to enjoy.
Please help yourself to any tea or treats in the studio. All of our sinks offer filtered water. We refrain from using paper and plastic as an effort to reduce waste. We encourage you not to eat at least 2 hours before your practice -- as practicing on an empty stomach will offer a more comfortable and clarifying practice. And, we ask that you please keep food and bevarages out of the classrooms -- except for water.
Please make yourself at home and connect with fellow yogis in our lounge, and look out for other guests in class by speaking quietly around the classrooms.
We have mats and towels for rent at the studio for just $1.00.
Feel free to wear any comfortable clothing that won't restrict your movement.
Keep your small personal valuables safe (esp. your wallet, keys, phone, laptop, etc) by placing them on the shelves provided in each classroom.
Always let your teacher know if you have any injuries or special health conditions. And, always listen to your own body and intuition! Pushing yourself beyond your point of comfort and into pain is not part of any yoga practice. Yoga is not at all a competitve practice -- it is a practice intended to make you your best self.
Please let us know if there is anything at all we can do to help you by stopping by our front desk or asking your teacher.
